A tri-level townhouse offers a blueprint for compact living. The sculpted copper-clad exterior and texturally rich interiors deftly balance natural light and privacy, opening to unexpected garden pockets and vistas. A public walkway along one boundary required a defensive design approach. Organic geometries, strategic openings and landscape are used as filters for the exposed corner semi. Though small, it asserts its presence with a sandstone base and copper-clad upper level, curving to form a central courtyard and light well.
